Conspiracy : Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee Death Curse

Brandon Lee, son of the famed martial arts star, Bruce Lee, was shot and killed during the making of his breakout film, The Crow. Although his death was deemed accidental, many other speculations have arisen. What if his death was not an accident, but murder? There were many similarities between both Bruce and Brandon Lees death, leaving open the possibility of conspiracy. Two major theories lend hand to the thought of foul play. The Chinese Mafia theory and the Triads theory hold credence through evidence and their links to Bruce and Brandon. Other theories have been considered and prove possible as well. Too many coincidences occurred on set and during the investigation, to state that his death was an accident. With all the evidence collected from both deaths, the possibility that both were merely fatal accidents, can be ruled out, and replaced with the fact that they were meticulously planned murders.

Bruce Lee, martial arts star, is pronounced dead on July 20th, 1973. He is rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital but is dead before arrival. All the details of his death remain unclear and somewhat covered up. Lee and film producer, Raymond Chow, met at Lees home to discuss the making of Lees film, Game of Death. They worked for about two hours before heading to Betty Tingpeis (lead actress in the film) house. The three went over the script and soon after, Chow left. Lee began to complain of a headache and Tingpei gave him a tablet of Equagesuc (a super aspirin), which was prescribed for her. Around 9:00pm Chow called Tingpeis to ask why she and Lee never showed up for dinner as planned. Tingpei told Chow that she could not wake Lee. He could not be revived and later died of, what doctors concluded as, an edema (swelling of the brain). Why hadnt Tingpei woken Lee earlier to meet for dinner as planned? And if she tried to, and she could not, why did she not immediately phone the police? Most of all, why would she give Lee something not prescribed for him? These questions and many others make Bruce Lees death look less like an accident and more like murder.

On March 30th, 1993, in Wilmington, North Carolina a tragedy occurred. Brandon Lee prepares to complete what is to be the last night of scenes that involve weapons. After this night, there is only eight more nights of shooting before The Crow is complete. Brandon speaks to his mother on the phone. After indicating his joy in this being the final night of weapons scenes, he ends the conversation and heads to the set. The scene in which Eric Draven walks in on his beloved Shelly being raped is to be shot. Michael Massee (FunBoy) is handed the pistol, which he is to point and fire at Brandon (Eric Draven) as we walks into the room. Alex Proyas calls for quiet and then action. Brandon walks in, Michael Massee pulls the trigger, Brandon falls to the ground and Alex Proyas calls cut. Everyone relaxes and starts moving around. Brandon, however, is still on the ground. Known for his practical jokes, Brandon is thought to be extending the scene. However, it becomes apparent that this is no joke and tragedy has just occurred. They find him profusely bleeding from his abdomen and ambulance is immediately called.

Bruce Lee (27 November 1940 20 July 1973) was born in San Francisco, California, and raised in Hong Kong until his late teens. His Hong Kong and Hollywood-produced films elevated the traditional Hong Kong martial arts film to a new level of popularity and acclaim, and sparked the first major surge of interest in Chinese martial arts in the West. The direction and tone of his films changed and influenced martial arts and martial arts films in Hong Kong and the rest of the world as well. Lee became an iconic figure particularly to the Chinese, as he portrayed Chinese national pride and Chinese nationalism in his movies. He primarily practiced Chinese martial arts (Kung fu), particularly Wing Chun. On 20 July 1973, Lee was in Hong Kong, due to have dinner with former James Bond star George Lazenby, with whom he intended to make a film. According to Lee's wife Linda, Lee met producer Raymond Chow at 2 p.m. at home to discuss the making of the movie Game of Death. They worked until 4 p.m. and then drove together to the home of Lee's colleague Betty Ting, a Taiwanese actress. The three went over the script at Ting's home, and then Chow left to attend a dinner meeting.

A short time later, Lee complained of a headache, and Ting gave him an analgesic (painkiller), Equagesic, which contained both aspirin and a muscle relaxant. Around 7:30 p.m., he went to lie down for a nap. After Lee did not turn up for dinner, Chow came to the apartment but could not wake Lee up. A doctor was summoned, who spent ten minutes attempting to revive him before sending him by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

However, Lee was dead by the time he reached the hospital. There was no visible external injury; however, his brain had swollen considerably, from 1,400 to 1,575 grams (a 13% increase). Lee was 32 years old. The only two substances found during the autopsy were Equagesic and trace amounts of cannabis. On 15 October 2005, Chow stated in an interview that Lee died from a hypersensitivity to the muscle relaxant in Equagesic, which he described as a common ingredient in painkillers.

I've always felt that both Brandon's and Bruce's deaths were handled rather nonchalantly. There were never any full investigations like they do with other famous people like OJ's wife. Even Michael Jackson's death had a more thorough investigation. It's just too much of a coincidence that both father and son died, then the daughter decides not to go into acting because of a family curse? The family curse very well could be that they were involved in the Chinese Mafia or Triad. Just look at the dates of death. Both years end in a "3." Odd numbers like 3, 7, and 9 are very important numbers. Take for example the traditional Chinese New Year's feast. You can't have an even number of dishes/courses served. It has to be an odd number of dishes/courses. Also the fact that both actors were at the height of their careers says something too. If you look up the medicine that was given to Bruce Lee, you will find that one of the side effects is a headache and swelling in the brain. How do we know she didn't give him hash brownies laced with Equagesuc? When he didn't die and complained of a headache, it was very easy for her to convince him to take an entire tablet of Equagesuc? As for Brandon...notice how no one knows who the prop manager was? According to CNN the producer and prop manager disappeared after his death.
