I'm sure most of us at one time or another have heard the phrase, 'You're going to Hell for doing that' or 'Bad boys/girls go to Hell' etc......At the time, it might have been said in a joking manner but it's always at the back of our minds.......
I come from a Christian background but consider myself a non-practising Xtian and heard 'about Hell' a zillion times but now have come to the conclusion that I don't accept that I deserve to go to Hell......I'm presently raising a family, paying my taxes, paying a mortgage and bills, following the road rules and generally living a normal, run-of-the-mill law-abiding existence........Why should I go to Hell ?????
According to Muslims, all non-Muslims will go to Hell and according to Xtians, everyone else is destined for the 'dark' place as well......So who deserves to go more ??? I think murderers and rapists and child-abusers and criminals have earned their place in Hell but why should I be lumped in with them as well ??
You might think that Mum's off her rocker and comparing religion to law and order but aren't they really the same thing ?? Or am I just being a lazy Christian who understands and abides by society's laws but conveniently bypasses God's law ??
Acourse there is room for all of us, How can we get there? By being born again, asking Jesus into our hearts and asking him to be your personal savior. We all won't make up there. I some times think the same thing as you, I didnt ask to be born but I'm here so yes I have to live a clean life, I'm bound to make mistakes but we are not perfect just ask God to Forgive and try to do what's right. God does not ask that much of us. The ten commandments I followed even before I was a Christian( the average person doesn't think of killling , ect) So why cant we be a christian and follow Jesus ways. We ask more from God then he ask from us and I dont think it'll kill us to do whats right, so my friend there's room for you and anyone else who wants to enter heaven, Just do the right things , it'll feel good and encourage others to live by your example. In the end if one wants it , work for it, Heaven is bigggg enough!'
Well, it all depends on how you picture heaven. If you think of it as a place with limitations, of course there will be simply no room for all of us. Now, if it exists, it ought to be a place that can accommodate all... you see, something without boundaries. :)
